Renovation Work

Sri Srinivasa perumal sannathi was constructed in 1879 by collectiong donation from various devotees, there after other sannathis were constructed.

This temple came under the control of Hindu Religious Act in 1966 . The last balalayam was held in 1982 and kumbhabishegam was held on 08-02-1985.

All the old sannathis were demolished and new sannathis are being constructed at a cost of 1 crore.

The Pudhucherry Honable Chief Minister Mr. Rangaswamy laid the foundation stone for construction of 5-tier rajagopuram at a total cost of Rs 60 lakhs, now the construction of rajagopuram has been completed . Maha mandabam between rajakopuram and main sannathis is constructed at a cost of Rs 50Lakhs,

Apart from this , new Sri Srinivasa perumal sannathi , Sri Lakshmi Narashimhar Sannathi, Sri Ranganathar Sannathi and Sri Anjanyar sannathi are constructed at a cost of R 1 crore.

After completion of the above said renovation works, the Mahakumbabhisegan was held on 12/02/2016 in a grand scale under the auspices of Thirukovilur Jeer and Singa Perumal Kovil Mudalinandan Swamikal and with the blessing of the Sri Srirangam Jeer.

Second Stage of Renovation:

Sri Ramar Sannathi Sri Andal Sannathi Sri Krishnan Sannathi Sri Manavala Mamunigal Sannathi Sri Alwars Sannathi and Sri salahara 3-tier kopuram (West side) are under construction at a cost of Rs 2 Crores and completed

This Temple is one of the oldest and prestigious devasthanams in Puducherry situated in (Mahatma Gandhi Road) muthialpet, about 2kms from the shore of the Bay of Bangal. This temple was constructed as early as in 1800 AD
